What is possible

By Mike Hall

A blank canvas, standing at attention on its easel,
waits to receive an artist’s interpretation.
A variety of pigments are eager to be used,
to be included in this creative process.
Numerous brushes stand at attention,
tools used to blend and shape – creating hues and tints –
giving life to some pent-up mental image,
allowing it to escape and take on a visible form,
subject to the collective orchestration of strokes.
These implements in the hands of a master
create a mosaic of beauty and wonder,
a portrait to be admired for its full range of color,
color not separated and standing alone,
but integrated in an impactful fusion.
These tools and their skillful application
display what is possible . . . in the hands of the Master.
